Dear Gray,

Cậu giờ ở đâu? Điều tệ nhất là tớ không còn mơ thấy cậu, hoặc cậu đã thoát khỏi mọi chuyện, hoặc khoảng không gian chung của chúng ta giờ đã mờ dần, mờ dần…Cậu thôi không còn bận tâm đến tớ như cậu tin rằng cuối cùng thì điều kỳ diệu đã mỉm cười với ai xứng đáng và chân thành.

Nhưng Gray ơi, chiếc ly đã vỡ, dù tớ đã cố dán bằng những thứ tốt nhất vẫn không thể che hết những vết nứt bên trong nó. Hôm nay, như những ngày thứ 7 khác, tớ ngồi với anh ấy. Tớ thấy những kỹ niệm giữa 2 người họ, tớ ghen tị với những gì họ trân trọng, những ghi chú, những nút thắt của tình yêu được gọi là đâu tiên. Tim tớ như vỡ ra, chiếc ly giãy dụa đối mặt với mãnh vụn đang muốn phản chủ. Sau 2 năm quen nhau, sau những ngọt ngào, những cay đắng, những sự dối trá sắp đặt, nó vẫn không thể là tình yêu. Gray ơi, chẳng lẽ 2 năm chưa đủ cho một sự ngộ nhận, hay tớ tin anh ta chối bỏ mọi thứ, anh mù quáng chối bỏ trái tim tớ. Có lẽ đó là thứ tình yêu không đến từ trái tim.

Nếu bây giờ cậu hỏi, còn đau không, tớ sẽ thừa nhận rằng tim tớ vẫn còn vị đắng. Thứ mùi hoa ấy, đường Lê Duẫn, công viên, bức tường, mùi của anh, Giáng Sinh, một mình, tin nhắn, lừa dối..

Vì em chưa bao giờ là người mạnh mẽ, vì Lily của em vẫn chưa thể vực dậy sau một giấc ngủ dài. Cô ấy vẫn đang chịu cái rét mùa đông một mình với tấm thân trần tựa gối đang nhìn vào bóng đêm qua khung cửa. Cô hứng thú với đêm, như tin rằng chỉ trong đêm, tiếng động sẽ là âm thanh lớn nhất, hình ảnh sẽ thành vật sáng nhất, sự cô đơn có thể thành hi vọng.. Lily đáng thương của em vẫn gầy gò bám chặt quá khứ, cô níu kéo quá khứ như những hi vọng sống nhỏ nhoi bám chặt cuộc đời mình, một ý nghĩa của sự tồn tại. Cô chờ Mark bước ra đến ôm chặt mình, dắt mình thoát khỏi sự ngột ngạt của hiện tại. Tất cả chỉ là ảo tưởng, nên Lily mãi mãi bị kẹt trong em, hoặc em chưa thể giải thoát cho sự đau đớn lẽ ra em không nên tạo dựng.

“The only problem I have as a teacher teaching Art & Design is the ‘Design’ part. It is always incredibly capitalist and brand orientated when dealing with any field in the design subject. Students have to learn designer brands, fashion brands, products and trademarked styles. They have to learn of the successes of these famous names and then recite them in exams to score points and gain a qualification. It haunts me. I try my best to make pupils aware of brand obsession. Companies like McDonalds and Starbucks are already a part of their everyday thoughts. Female pupils choose branding such as Playboy logos to grace their pencil cases and bags. Male pupils are obsessed with wearing certain expensive football tops to be classified into a tribe and laugh at clothing that isn’t Superdry.

Design is slowing changing. A number of anti-design parties and activists have been slowly making an impact into popular culture and are finally becoming as known as the brands they attack. Groups such as Adbusters could be useful in the classroom to help even the balance. It shows that it is possible to use the subject for something other than selling a product to someone. Adbusters use a number of promotions that can be taught in the classroom with little change. A current contest; ‘One Flag’, asked for the submission of a single flag to symbolise the whole world, all countries. Another asks for a poster design for ‘Buy Nothing Day’, a single day in the year that asks everyone to stop consuming and think about it. Surely these are important issues for pupils?

With the emergence of the Anti-Advertising Agency and an ongoing, growing number of spoof ads from individual artists and groups, the art form is definitely valid and worth introducing to pupils, if you can handle the controversy surrounding it. It’s time pupils knew of the effects of continuous advertising, brand placement and consumerist culture upon them. They deserve to know how it’s used against them, so they can act upon it by choice, rather than through persuasion.”

Hồi đó, khi tình yêu còn là nỗi đau, tôi hay lấy lòng tự trọng làm niềm an ủi, dù rất nhỏ.

Sau chuyến đi Bạc Liêu Tết năm 2009, tôi nhận ra một điều, chẳng ai có thể tôn trọng tình mình hơn mình, như Trịnh Vi trong “Anh có thích nước Mỹ không” có nói: ”

Đã đến nước này, Trịnh Vi, chỉ mong có một chút tự tôn, phủi tay mà bỏ đi, không giữ được tình yêu, ít nhất phải giữ được lòng tự trọng.

Quan điểm về tình yêu của tôi hơi cực đoan, hơi nặng nề một chút. Nên mấy ai hiểu chứ! :)

Chain of Learning

Talking about learning processes, in 1975 R M Gagne, a American educational psychologist, characterised the one so called “chain of learning”, by which people acquire and interact new information with their new environments.

This method can be applied to all kinds of learning in any environments they are taking place under a chain of events, like this:

Gagne’s Learning Chain

- Motivation: The first thing must be occurred in your mind as soon as you’re going to learn something. To learn effectively, you have to want to learn. It’s too simplistic for people to ignore anyway.

- Perception: It means learning objectives, by make clear about what is to be learned.

- Acquisition: This may be conscious or unconscious process by which the learner can gain the information during learning time after having established a perception of what need to learn. Searching more information, raise questions for the lectures are listed as examples.

- Retention: Retaining, the way to remember what you have learned, so the learners can transferred their lessons from short team memory to long term memory. It’s rather closed to the next step, recall.

- Recall: It’s not easy to recall something in your memory since you need to refresh to get more information day by day. For this reason, Gagne advised that we have to able to recall the peaces of information in regular time after having retained learning.

- Generalisation: Make what we having learned become value by bring them to our lives, in practical situations that appropriate.

- Performance: Closed to previous step, we need to be able to put it into practices.

- Feedback: After having make effort to learn something new and put into practices, now is the time to check out if the learning is really effective. This can be by getting the reaction of those who around you, then continuously to build on what you have learned.
